On the Blogging Bandwagon...

I finally got around to starting this thing called a blog. I'm only a few years behind the rest of cyber-space, but at least I'm jumping on the bandwagon. It's about time, I know...

There's really not much for me to say right now. This week, I've been trying to catalog all of my digital images, and there are almost 11,000 of them. I've been working off and on all weekend, and I'm down to 7,900, so at least I'm getting somewhere. :)

As I was going through all of these photos, I have been amazed at how quickly just seeing an image reminds me of a joke, a random moment, or an event that happened that I had completely forgotten about. It just blows me away how easily seeing an image can recall all kinds of emotions! I guess this is just on of the reasons that scrapbooking and preserving these memories is so important to me.

Also, tonight, Jonathan and I were talking about some people we know who just decided they weren't "happy" being with one another, and have decided to divorce. I am reminded and humbled once again at how truly blessed I am... I have such a wonderful husband who I can't picture my life without. He and I were talking tonight, and I feel so lucky to say that I do live a "happy" life. However, I think you choose to be happy - happiness is a choice. As we were talking, we discussed the fact that we don't really do anything special, we don't have loads of money, nor do we travel to lots of exotic places or lead a glamorous lifestyle at all - it's just pretty ordinary and routine, but I am so very happy with it, just as it is!

Well, that's probably enough for one night... More to come later. I think I just might get the hang of this blog thing afterall!
